Muslims can not undervalue the significance of the Salah since it is the first act Allah will question them about it on the day of Judgment, and the acceptance of other good deeds is contingent upon its approval. Similar to Musa peace be upon him, Allah commanded him to establish the Salah under majestic circumstances, “And I have chosen you, so listen to that which is inspired to you. Verily, I am Allah! There is none worthy of worship but I, so worship Me and offer prayer perfectly for My remembrance.” Quran (Taha13-14).

Allah legislated the compulsory Salah upon the Muslim Ummah under majestic happenings above the seven heavens.

The Prophet said, “Be informed that none of you can see Allah until you die” ( Sahih Muslim).The Prophet made that statement in the context of warning us against the Anti-Christ (Al-Masih Ad-Dajjal) who will try to convince people that he is God.The point of the Prophet‘s warning is that if a person claims to be God in this life, then that person is automatically a liar. 

When one looks at the creation of Allah, two conclusions are inescapable: there must be a Creator, and the attributes and qualities of the creation cannot be equal or like the Creator. This means that we cannot gain any knowledge about Allah and the reward that ensues from fidelity to that knowledge except through that which comes to us from Allah Himself through Revelation.

Surat An-Nisa’ – The First Sign — Justice for All Through Fair Governance

In the previous Volume of the Maqasidic Tafsir (Volume 4), we illustrated how The Twins (Al-Baqarah and Al-Imran) erected, developed, and protected the two vital foundations of the vicegerent’s character, as follows: –

First, Surat Al-Baqarah formed the vicegerent’s (Khalifah’s) Belief System (Aqeedah) on the two foundations, Attestation (Tasdeeq), and Compliance (Tatbeeq).

Then, Surat Al-Imran cautioned the vicegerent (Khalifah) against the two defects to attestation (Tasdeeq) and Compliance (Tatbeeq), which are, in sequence,

the religious misconceptions, suspicions, and doubts (Shubuhaat), and alluring to whims, and desires (Shahawaat).

The current Maqasidic Tafsir (Volume 5) displays the first of the two concrete signs of success in erecting and developing the monotheistic, virtuous, witnessing vicegerent (Khalifah). The vicegerent (Khalifah) is a member of the harmonious and fraternal community (Ummah), in which the individual works for the benefit of the Muslim community (Ummah) and the community (Ummah) for the use of the individual.

Furthermore, the individuals and community will deliver the milestone in balance, harmony, and integration that leads to creating a virtuous society, and an ethical, humane community. As an authority head, or a member of this diverse, pluralistic community, the vicegerent must govern fairly, secure justice for all, and fulfill the rights of others without any restrictions, regardless of their gender, race, religion, or ethnic background. Therefore, Surat An-Nisa’s central theme is securing the delivery of Justice for All, especially the rights of the weak, orphans, women, minorities, and the mentally impaired.

Maqasidic Tafsir, Volume 5, delivers the 4th lengthy chapter (An-Nisa’) under the title The 1st Sign, of the success of the vicegerent, that is, securing Justice for All through Fair Governance, bearing in mind that the next chapter (Al-Ma’idah) will deliver the 2nd Sign, that is, “Fulfill Your Covenants”.

But it is not Shirk (Polytheism) in and of itself unless that action is accompanied by a belief that you are calling out to a god. I myself am an advocate of this second position. ”Yasir Qadhi’s answer is false, baseless, misleading, deceitful, tricky, and dishonest. However, the worst thing about his answer is the sad reality that as a graduate of the Islamic University of Madinah

He was matching the argument to justify idol worship like the pagan Arabs did during the Prophet’s (s.a.w) time. The Pagan Arabs justified their idol worship saying, “We believe that Allah is the Creator, the Controller, the Provider, the Sustainer, the Giver of life and death, and the Source of every blessing.” Regardless, Allah (s.w.t) still classified them as Polytheists (Mushrikun) in the Quran, and the Prophet (s.a.w) challenged them on all fronts till they gave it up.

When I wrote the first edition of this book, "Worship Your Lord," which is the second book of the Right Belief Series, I indented to connect Volume I "Know Your Lord" with Volume II "Worship Your Lord." I am simply saying the correct knowledge of Allah (s.w.t) must lead to worshipping Him. I also intend for the content to help the readers familiarize themselves with the different categories of Monotheism (Tawheed). I intend to simplify the subject of Monotheism (Tawheed), which can help advance the Call of Monotheism (Tawheed), especially for Muslims living in the West. Furthermore, this book will acquaint Muslims with the methodology of understanding of the faithful adherents (Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama'ah) to the Quran and the Prophetic Tradition (Sunnah).

Until recently, something shocking happened. A Layman Muslim asked Yasir Qadhi the following question: “What is the ruling on invoking the engraved saints (Awlyia)?”

It was shocking to witness someone who is knowingly and willfully encouraging grave worshiping when it is a clear-cut demolition of the Universal Declaration of Faith (Lā ilāha illa Allāh). Yet the hearts of his fans, loyalists remain neutral, and their tongues remain silent?

Lā ilāha illa Allāh comprises two pillars: the complete negation of any form of worship to others than Allah (s.w.t), and the unquestionable and firm affirmation of all forms of worship only to Allah (s.w.t). Yasir Qadhi is a learned person who used to be amongst those whom Allah (s.w.t) honored to defend and preserve this Declaration (Kalimah), but now says that worshiping the graves is everything terrible, evil, sin, innovation, a steppingstone, and a door opener, but not Polytheism (Shirk).

Meanwhile, many people’s dilemmas, including his Facebook fans and other learned Shaykhs in his circle, secure their livelihoods and prestige. So, do they have no care for what happens to the religion?

What benefits does one gain from his adherence to the religion, what good is left in him towards Allah (s.w.t), His religion, and His Messenger (s.a.w) when he sees Allah’s (s.w.t) boundaries and sacredness being transgressed?

Hence, I decided to introduce a revised second edition of the book titled ‘Lā ilāha illa Allāh,’ and to include two additional parts to address and refute Yasir Qadhi’s recent grave worship blunder. I ask Allah (s.w.t) to make this work of benefit to Muslims, including our brother Yasir Qadhi. May Allah (s.w.t) guide us all. Ameen.

Performing prayers sincerely for the sake of Allah (s.w.t) and in conformity with the Prophet's Tradition (Sunnah) is a must to validate it and hope for Allah's (s.w.t) acceptance.

We also updated the design of this book in a different way. We used multiple colors and fonts to place distinctions to the essential information in a sentence or a paragraph. Nevertheless, we did our very best to make the reader’s experience quite pleasant.

Let’s Pray the Prophet’s Way provides a comprehensive depiction of the way the Prophet (s.a.w) used to pray based on valid and adequate pieces of evidence from his Tradition (Sunnah). In the middle of the second decade of the 20th century AD, the Turkish military commander Mustafa Kemal—later nicknamed Kemal Ataturk—carried out the first military coup—in the modern sense—in the Islamic world and then implemented a European decision to abolish the Ottoman Caliphate, which was gathering under its umbrella most of the Islamic countries.

 

In this context, the subject of “Restoring the usurped Caliphate” has become the primary cause of the rise of most present-day Islamic trends and one of the most preoccupied issues of contemporary Islamic directions in response to its abolition or to revive it or correct the path that ended with its downfall.

However, the correct analysis is that the Muslim community has lost track of the proper understanding of the Qur’an and Sunnah following the interpretation and application of our righteous predecessors. It led them to slacken in faith and religiosity and adopt the approach of devious sects that could be well intended; It is not an issue of Caliphate or governance and politics.

The problem of our Muslim Community (Ummah) is undoubtedly a problem of Faith (Iman) and Certainty (Yaqeen). The solution lies in reaching a medicine that treats this problem and is suitable for all Muslim community members. What other than the Qur’an possesses all these ingredients? Hence, we affirm that the return of blessings to our Muslim community is linked to the correct and proper understanding of the Qur’anic scripture.

It is noteworthy that when the Prophet spoke about the stages that the Muslim community would pass through.

Hudyifah Ibn Al-Yaman narrated that the Prophet said, “The Prophethood will last among you for as long as Allah wills, then Allah would take it away. Then it will be (followed by) a rightly guided rule (Khilafah Rashidah) according to the ways of the Prophethood. It will remain for as long as Allah wills, then Allah will take it away. Afterward, there will be biting ancestral governance, which will remain for as long as Allah wills, and then He will lift it if He wishes. Afterward, there will be biting oppression, lasting for as long as Allah wishes. Then He will lift it if He wishes. Then there will be a Khilafah Rashidah according to the ways of the Prophethood.” Then he kept silent.

We could see from the words of Allah’s Messenger that the stages the Muslim community has gone through are the same as foretold by Allah’s Messenger, except for the last phase in the Hadith, “…then there will be a caliphate on the method of prophecy.” There is no doubt that Allah’s command will fulfill it, but did you not notice that the Prophet has paired the return of the rightly guided Caliphate with the methodology of Prophethood? What other platform and constitution of the prophethood` methodology?! Isn’t it the Qur’an and Sunnah?

The seven lengthy chapters (Suwar) equal the Torah (Old Testament) of Prophet Musa (Moses).

Al-Baqarah, Al-Imran, An-Nisa, Al-Maidah, Al-An’am, Al-A’raf, Al-Anfal, and At-Tawbah. They comprise the evolution of the first abode for Islam (Dar Al-Islam), which the Prophet and his companions (Sahabah) established. Therefore, to persevere in the re-building of a similar entity like the one which started in Madinah, we must become very familiar with the mother module they formed for Muslims to follow until the Day of Judgment (Yawm Al-Qiyamah). The Seven Lengthy chapters comprise a manuscript on how to contribute to restoring the Khilafah in light of the first third of the Qur’an.
